Some experiences stay with you long after they end.

Not just because of the schedule, the panels, or even the event itself, but because of the people you meet and the conversations you carry with you afterward.

That’s exactly how BookCAMP 2026 felt for me.

Walking into the event, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Like many gatherings centered around publishing and creativity, there’s always a mix of excitement and curiosity.

But what I found was something far more meaningful than I imagined: a space filled with genuine, thoughtful, and deeply inspiring people who care not only about books and publishing, but about the stories and human experiences behind them.

From the very beginning, there was an atmosphere of openness and curiosity that made every interaction feel natural. Throughout the event, I had the opportunity to connect with people from many different backgrounds and creative paths: writers, publishing professionals, readers, creators, and individuals simply passionate about the world of storytelling. What made these conversations special was not only the exchange of ideas, but the sincerity behind them.

Some discussions focused on the future of publishing and the way the industry continues to evolve in such a fast-changing world.

Others explored creativity itself, the challenges of staying inspired, the discipline behind writing, the vulnerability that comes with sharing your work, and the importance of continuing to create even when uncertainty exists.

There were also moments where conversations moved beyond publishing entirely and became reflections on personal growth, purpose, and the role stories play in connecting people.

What struck me most throughout BookCAMP was the generosity of the people I met.

There was a genuine willingness to listen, encourage, and share experiences openly.

In many professional environments, conversations can sometimes feel rushed or transactional, but this felt different. People were present.

They were thoughtful. They were interested not only in talking, but in truly connecting.

I found inspiration not only in the official sessions and speakers, but also in the quiet moments between them: brief conversations, spontaneous exchanges after panels, shared reflections over coffee, and those unexpected interactions that somehow stay with you long afterward.

Sometimes a single conversation can shift your perspective, spark a new idea, or simply remind you why you started your creative journey in the first place.

Everything at BookCAMP 2026 felt genuinely perfect in its own way.

It's incredible to realize how much I was able to take in without even realizing it at first. So many ideas, perspectives, and pieces of information were shared.

I left feeling like my mind was full in a good way, not overwhelmed but expanded. There were moments where I would stop later in the day and realize I had learned something that quietly changed how I see publishing and creative work. Not just technical knowledge, but real understanding, how people think, how they approach storytelling, how differently everyone navigates the same industry.

Learning didn’t feel like “attending sessions,” but more like absorbing ideas through genuine human interaction. That made everything easier to connect with and remember.

BookCAMP reminded me that publishing is ultimately about people. Behind every book, every manuscript, every project, there is a human story, someone trying to communicate an idea, emotion, or experience that might resonate with another person somewhere in the world.

Being surrounded by individuals who deeply value that process was incredibly motivating and reassuring.

The event also gave me space to reflect on my own path and the importance of continuing to learn, evolve, and remain open to new perspectives.

It’s easy to become focused only on outcomes or future goals, but experiences like this remind you that growth often happens through conversations, shared experiences, and community.

Inspiration rarely arrives in isolation, it grows through connection.

BookCAMP 2026 was not simply an event I attended. It was an experience I lived through fully.

And this truly feels like only the beginning.

Sincerely,

Sara Fanfarillo
