There are events you plan with excitement and anticipation, imagining the moment your book takes its first steps into the world.
My recent book launch at Script Haven Bookshop in Worcester was exactly that, but also something more unexpected and deeply rewarding.
Script Haven, true to its name, provided a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere that felt tailor-made for thoughtful conversation.
Nestled in the heart of Worcester, Script Haven isn’t just a bookshop: it’s a community space.
With shelves lined by stories waiting to be discovered, and a café corner that invites you to linger, it creates a gentle kind of magic. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how much care the owners put into everything they do, and how that care seeps into the entire experience.
The people who did come made it unforgettable. I had the chance to speak with artists and fellow book lovers who genuinely wanted to engage; not just with the book, but with the themes, the process, and the journey behind it. These slower, more meaningful conversations are what I’ll treasure most.
There was something incredibly grounding about each thoughtful question that sparked an unexpected discussion. Each exchange reminded me why I write — to connect, to share, and to spark moments of recognition in others.
I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to stop by and be part of the day.
And to Script Haven - thank you for creating a space where stories are nurtured, and authors are welcomed with open arms.
If you ever find yourself in Worcester, I highly recommend stepping inside Script Haven.
Whether you’re there for a book, a quiet cup of tea, or just a moment of calm, you’ll find it’s a place that invites you to stay a little longer and enjoy the slow beauty of the written word.
Here’s to humble beginnings, heartfelt connections, and the journey ahead.
